Scurrying about, we often fail to notice the intricate and intriguing details that surround us.
"Close Up" was undertaken as a project for a grade school teacher. A series of close-up pictures helped illustrate, for a class of third-graders, that there is unnoticed and fascinating detail to be found everywhere, if we only take the time to recognize it.
The rich texture of porridge in a neglected bowl, the intricate drawing upon the backs of even such common things as our very currency...these details go overlooked even though they are of great interest.
